Dave's Cars
Okay, so you found my mystery car page. Well, it doesn't contain
much, but I do have some photos of how to change your 2nd gen Turbo Eclipse
BOV with one from the 3000GT (Which I haven't put up yet, of course).
Sad part of that story is I put my old one back in. The 3000GT was
built much better, with nice brass fittings and such but didn't seem to
hold the pressure... I really didn't do a complete test of it, but
when I got it it was much more "sealed" than the original. About
a month later, I took it out and compared them and it was easy to blow
through without even applying the vacuum. Even easier than the original.
Well, I'll write a page up about that sometime. In the meantime,
here's some photos of my cars I grabbed from elsewhere in my website just
to fill up the page...
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
Mods:
Installed 3000GT Blow Off Valve. Removed it.
Fuel Filter High Accessability Mod (AKA, I cut the $#!@#$ pipe and
put a hose in there after 2 weeks of trying to get the $#@!ing fuel filter
off)
1987 Toyota Corolla FX16
Oooops, I'll have to dig up a photo, somewhere... Thought I had one
sampled somewhere...
Mods:
Blew the head gasket, and then had the engine replaced with one cut
out of an MR2 from Japan. Replaced pretty much everything at that
time.
Well, no performance ones, just the stereo system that went out of
control...
Six disc Sony changer under the driver's seat, 25Wattx4 (RMS) amp under
the passenger's, and an 8 inch sub sunk into the spare tire well...
I should definitely get some photos of all that, because I'm going to sell
the FX to make room for...
2001 Subaru Impreza WRX
Yes,
couldn't resist. I've ordered a silver sport wagon from Irvine Subaru
because the local dealers were price gouging horribly. Steven's Creek
Subaru said they were getting 9 in and were going to auction them off to
the highest bidders, when I checked last that was about $10k over list!
So, I went with somebody taking pre-orders at MSRP: Irvine
Subaru was getting over 90 of them. Mine should come in April...
More details to follow.
